V2023.2.3 (for Revit 2023 till 2018)
- New Features
-
- With Tables you can not only create shared project parameters using a spreadsheet, but now you can also add shared parameters to multiple family files at once, saving you a lot of time (->more info)
- Also, you can now create and manage shared parameter definitions very easily and intuitively with an xlsx Tables sheet. You can then export this to a Revit shared parameter definitions TXT file (->more info)
- Until now you could only overwrite the Yes/No parameters with your own text via a global setting in the Tables settings dialog. Now you have this possibility directly in your table for the specific yes/No parameter in the formatting tab in the Schedule Properties settings dialog.
(->more info) - Furthermore, you will find a view-specific setting of the data source of your Tables list in the Schedule Properties settings dialog in the General tab. Additionally we have saved the dates, for example when your table was created. Also, there are now two options with which you can prevent accidental reloading or applying.
- In the Appearance tab of the Schedule Properties settings dialog, we added a checkbox to hide or show the Tables ID column.
- We have added a setting in the General tab of the global Tables settings dialog that allows you to set whether the values from Revit should be analyzed by Excel in terms of their data type. For example, a date text in Revit can be recognized as a date in Tables / Excel and not as text.
- As always, we have added more feature parameters this time. For walls we added “Allow Join at End” and “Allow Join at Start” to manage their join behavior.
- Finally, we added a little helper dialog to enter date values easily.
-
- Changes and Improvements
-
- We have renamed the special list "Parameter Matrix" to "Project Parameters", which makes more sense. You can still create a parameter matrix with it, of course 😉
- We have added a new subgroup "Shared Parameters" to the SmartCreation commands. Here you can now find the commands for creating shared project and family parameters, as well as parameter definitions.
- In the global settings dialog, there is now a shortcut to the log file and log directory for easier communication with us if you have problems with Tables.
- Also, we have improved and optimized the following:
- undo / redo operations (please still pay attention here)
- Loading and saving of the Tables metadata for the connection to Revit
- Copying of Tables worksheets
- Writing back to the Revit database with improved progress display and results dialog
- Also, we made the English and French (and even the German 😉) localization a little bit better based on your awesome feedback; we know we can do even better here so thanks again for your great support!
-
