Once all parameters, sub-tables, and images in the template are defined and formatted, generate the report. Click Create / Re-create in the ribbon:
The Report Template with the context-sensitive ribbon. Tables creates one worksheet per element of the chosen report category.
After generation, all report pages appear as individual tabs - here e.g. Technik-1.03, Gang-1.02, Keller-1.05 and further rooms.
⚠️
Important
The report template must be active for all report pages to be considered. Both commands are also available in the context ribbon of individual report sheets for single-sheet updates.
2. The finished result
Fully generated report for Kochen/Essen 2A-3 with floor plan images, wall-sides sub-table, grouped key metrics, and tab navigation.
3. Refreshing the report
If your Revit data has changed, you can regenerate or refresh the report:
The ribbon with Create / Re-create and Refresh. The report template must be active for all pages to be considered.

ℹ️
Note
Writing modified values back to Revit (Apply) is not yet available - Planworks is already working on this.
4. Navigating worksheets
The Manage Report Pages command opens a navigation helper dialog for quickly moving through the report:
The navigation dialog lists all report sheets. Double-click or click the arrow icon to jump directly to the selected sheet. The filter row narrows the list.
Use the X icon to delete one or more sheets. The refresh icon updates the pages listed in the dialog.
💡
Tip
You can also navigate via right-click on the sheet tab navigation bar at the bottom of the window (works the same in Excel).
5. Highlighting in Revit
When you are on a report sheet, you can select and highlight the corresponding element in Revit:
A finished report sheet. You can also navigate between sheets via right-click on the tab navigation bar at the bottom.
The Highlight in Revit command finds a suitable view and selects the element in the model. Go to Report Template returns you to the Report Template sheet.
6. Appendix - All context-sensitive ribbons
Tables automatically shows the appropriate ribbon based on which sheet is active (new from version 2022.1.0):
Table tools for regular Tables component lists.
Table tools for sub-tables inside SmartReports.
SmartReport tools for SmartReport templates.
Project / Element Info - tools for project information, category parameters (incl. images), and grouped parameters.
SmartReport report sheet tools for individual report worksheets.
