Category and Parameter Mode
Two new multi-category options now cover multiple Revit categories at once.
Category
The dropdown contains all project categories plus special categories.
Special categories
| Category | Special Behavior |
|---|---|
| Views | Real views only. Geometry filter ignored. |
| View Templates | View templates only. Geometry filter ignored. |
| Stair Runs / Landings | Geometry filter ignored. |
| Sheets | A sheet with title block preferred for parameter loading. |
| Rooms | b.i.m.m room floor used as reference in formula editor where available. |
| All Model Elements NEW | All model-type categories in the project. Geometry filter respected. |
| Horizontal Elements NEW | Floors, Ceilings, Edge Slabs, Structural Foundations. Geometry filter respected. |
When to use multi-categories? All Model Elements
is ideal for project-wide mass attribution. Horizontal Elements
suits acoustic or thermal classifications across floors, ceilings, and foundations.
Parameter Mode
| Mode | What is written | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Instance | Individual value on each element instance | Comments, Mark |
| Type | Value on the element type (shared by all instances) | Keynote, Description, Manufacturer |
Multi-categories and type parameters: In Type mode with
All Model Elements, all types of all model categories are processed
— potentially a very large set. Use a Geometry Filter to reduce scope.
